Monsterski for the MS Trust all set

Monsterski for the MS Trust is all set to go. We're taking 18 skiers from all parts of the UK along with Laura from the MS Trust to Colorado later this month to undertake the 6 different resorts and the 150,000 vertical feet challenge. The latest reports say there is simply bungs of snow - loads of the stuff in fact. Fundraising has been going really well across the team too with the total raised standing at over £100,000 - a truly fantastic effort from everyone.

Can't wait for the 24th!

Monsterski 2008 Launched

Monsterski 2008 for the MS Trust has been launched. In January 2008, over 40 people will take part in Monsterski 2008 and will ski 6 fantastic resorts inlcuding Vail, Breckenridge, Copper, Keystone, Beaver Creek and Winter Park. If you would like to take part in this click here. Nick and I are going to be taking part too and encouraging you all down the mountains.

Cracked it!

On Monsterski and cracked the target on Day 5 after some hard graft, hard work and frustration. Skiing has been epic, despite some grim weather. What a feeling. Selection and maintenance of the aim did the trick.

Remarkable. Since June 2006 when Nick and I dreamt up Monsterski as a concept to raise money for MS, we never imagined that we would raise as much money as we have - currently over £25,000. The sheer kindness of people, either who have donated or whom have helped with equipment and support, has absolutely overwhelmed us and has left us so humbled. Thank you all for your support. It has set us up to do this monsterski challenge so well.

Just picked up my fantastic Head Monster skis and boots from Beans of Bicester. Great chat to Chris Bean, the owner. A really good ski and outdoor equipment shop too. Now all set for a photo shoot with the Gloucester Echo tomorrow in uniform while holding my Head Monster Skis!

Matt Humphreys from Head has been absolutely fantastic, repeat absolutely fantastic; not only did he arrange for Head to give us our skis, boots and bindings, (and all top of the range kit), he also ensured we're all set with poles, ski bags and helmets. Absolutely superb support and a terrific guy. I can't thank him enough for his backing.
